The Awakening of the Faun - Green opal and silver medallion, faun on the back

This pendant is adorned with a green opal medallion with deep green reflections. On the back of the pendant, a faun has been hand-sawn.

The faun is a demi-god from Roman mythology, often compared to the satyr of Greek mythology. Half-man, half-goat, he lives in the woods and fields where he has the power to fertilize herds and protect them from wolves. The faun is often depicted accompanied by a cornucopia, percussion instruments, a mask, or even a flute, as shown here on the pendant.

Green opal is a stone of abundance, appeasement, and new beginnings. It helps to banish negative thoughts and resentments while promoting emotional healing and intuition. Green opal is ideal for meditation and purification.
